What to Expect at Your First Appointment

No matter which of our three office locations you choose to visit us at, you will always be greeted by a friendly face. When you arrive for your first appointment, you will receive some light paperwork to fill out. This will provide our audiologists with information on your medical and family history.
  1. To begin your appointment, we will start with a conversation to get to know you. We will take a case history and ask you some questions about your current hearing ability, where you are having trouble hearing, and what your goals are for the appointment.

  2. Then we will perform an ear exam by looking inside your ears at the ear canal and eardrum. If you have a build-up of cerumen (earwax) we can remove that in-office.

  3. Once we’ve determined your ears are clear then we will perform a diagnostic hearing test. We will perform a series of tests to look at your hearing ability and how well you can hear speech in noise.

  4. If we determine hearing aids might be a good solution for you, we’ll share what your options are and recommend what we think will be best for you.

  5. After the hearing evaluation we will explain your results to you and go over your options. If you would be a good candidate for hearing aids then we will show you a few options that could help you.
