Our Team

Dr. Tolstyka earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University and his Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas. He completed his clinical training with the Ear Nose and Throat Associates of East Texas before moving to Houston. His passion for hearing and communication arose following the loss of his hearing at the age of 15, and subsequent cochlear implantations. Dr. Tolstyka’s clinical interests include aural rehabilitation, communication strategies, and wearable and implantable hearing devices. His life outside of the clinic is rooted in his background with competitive sports. Dr. Tolstyka represented the United States of America at the 2011 and 2015 World Deaf Swimming Championships in Coimbra, Portugal, and San Antonio, Texas. He now enjoys hiking, rock climbing, running, and is always looking for new competitions to take part in.
